About Us & Our Results

Through relationships, Circles allows for cultural change around poverty and moves all segments in a community toward a different way of thinking about poverty while engaging eforts to eradicate it. It also provides the opportunity for families living in poverty to build the ncessary social capital to move towards self-sufficiency and prosperity. By breaking the cycle of poverty, the children will be the first generation living in economic security, living healthier lives, being more successful in school, and be more likely to enter college or trade school in adulthood.

As of January 2017, 31 Circle Leaders have left poverty, reaching at least 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. These 31 Circle Leaders bring 38 children out of poverty with them. By doing so, estimates by the Center for American Progress on the total social costs of raising children in poverty, shows society is saving $1.4 million per year by these 31 adults becoming economicaly stable.
